Press 'Ctrl'+'End' to accept this change or 'Esc' to Abort

Read the Database definitions to see what each of the above files are used for.

Care should be taken if you reduce the size of a field, you may lose some data.
You can add new fields, but check in the definitions to make sure they are not used in any of the databases files. You should not start your custom field with the letter 'M', because that field name is used internally in the system for the memory variable field names.

The length of the Date field type (D) will show the field length of 8, leave this as is because the system stores the date fields in an universal date format. The system knows that when you enter or print the date that the year is a four digit field.

Press <Ctrl>+<End> to accept your changes or press <Esc> to Abort any changes.

The computer will the rebuild the database file(s) you have selected. For example using the "SYSTEM PARAMETER database files" as an example:

¦                   : :  Outstanding Items and NOTES files    [Feb/99]         ¦
¦                   :x:  SYSTEM PARAMETER database files      [Mar/99]         ¦
¦                                                                              ¦

This procedure will rebuild the following System Parameter files:

"SAPARM.dbf", SAGFR.dbf", "SAEXCH.dbf", "SAINDEX.dbf", "SAAUDIT.dbf", "SAHELP.dbf", "SAEHELP.dbf", "SAUHELP.dbf".

Read the Database definitions to see what each of the above files are used for.

The computer will return to the "SA:CCP02" screen.
